“Real” Data Driven Thinking

The data created by social networks is finally being used.

Foursquare – a check-in social platform – revealed its data and they want to map out the travel routes with in USA. The map they shared is I beleive priliminary but when there is more involvement it will be a lot more accurate. Also some data enhancement techniques can be used to reflect #of foursquare users and population in that region to balance out the unequal impact.

In short, this is a very good sign of a new era during which we will be basing our thinking on more realistic data.

  1. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. In addition, the blog loads very fast for me on Internet explorer. Exceptional Blog!

  2. Hi! I know this is kinda off topic nevertheless I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My blog addresses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Fantastic blog by the way!

  3. Superb post but I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this topic? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Many thanks!
